TRONCHETTO comes from one of the most ancient Christmas traditions: it is a time-honored custom and it is widespread in several European countries. This tradition originated on Christmas Eve, when the head of the family put in the fireplace a big log, that was left burning for the following nights. Its rests were kept, as
it was though that they had magical properties, and they were used to light the log the following year. This sweet, colled TRONCHETTO, comes from this tradition.
ENLIGHT THE FEAST
Tronchetto is a convivial sweet.
With its majesty in its taste and shape, it seals refined
and polished tables. Hazelnut cream and grain wrap a heart of orange jelly and they are surrounded by fine almond paste. It is all sealed and preserved by dark or milk chocolate covering.
