Nonna's Pantry presents Baratti & Milano.
These soft amaretti are a delicious specialty born in the mid-nineteenth century in an artisan oven in Sassello, a small town located on the border between Liguria and Piedmont. The amaretto is characterized by the particular consistency obtained thanks to the union of a few highly selected: sugar, egg white, almonds and apricot almonds. Traditional cooking is also fundamental. The result is an amaretto with the typical bitter-sweet aroma of almonds and kernels, which remains soft for a long time. These refined pastries are still hand-wrapped one by one today.
